Table Trotter

Our story

It started with “let's have a Peruvian dinner night.”

Some families have movie night. Ours has dinner night: pick a country, find its food, mix its drinks — one with spirit, one without — and learn, between bites, why the dish exists at all. Who first cooked it. What trade route or harvest or celebration shaped it. Why it tastes like the place it comes from.

The recipes here are the ones that survived our actual weeknights. They're written for real kitchens and supermarket ingredients, timed for evenings when energy is finite, and every one carries the field notes we wished the internet had given us: the origin, the culture, the reason each ingredient matters.

When a dish wears the Tried at our table stamp, it means exactly that — we cooked it, together, and it earned its place.

The map keeps growing. Pick a country and cook the whole night — and if you don't know where to start, let the map surprise you.
